How much religious instruction do the students receive?
We incorporate Christian values throughout the curriculum and a sense
of service and responsibility throughout the school day. Classes begin
with a time of worship that includes a devotional and prayer time.
Bible is taught on a daily basis with a curriculum developed by an
Adventist publisher. Chapel in the church sanctuary is held every
Monday morning for the whole school. A week of prayer is held twice
a year in which different scriptural themes are taught and discussed,
and students are paired with a prayer buddy for the week.

Do students wear uniforms?
In order to foster a team spirit and a sense of community, we require
all students to wear the uniforms specified in our uniform policy.
This demonstrates the belief that the emphasis is on the heart, not
on what you wear. Uniforms are purchased through a uniform company.
Students dress in formal uniform on Monday and wear casual or P.E.
uniforms Tuesday through Friday.

Friday, pizza lunch is available to all students. Parents may order
pizza for their child anytime throughout the year through our pizza
lunch coordinator. Due to safety issues, microwaves are not available
for student use.

Does OAPS provide programs for students with special needs?
While we do not have a particular program for special needs students,
all teachers are trained to work with students who have IEP’s.
Teachers will accommodate these needs and work with students after
school. Additionally, private academic therapists regularly come to
the school campus to tutor students with IEP’s.
