ADMISSIONS CRITERIA
Inquiry
Before completing an application and registration form, we request that interested families
contact our Admissions Director first by phone or in person. This
enables us to better determine your family’s educational goals
and needs before beginning the application process. Thank you for
respecting this policy.
Visiting the School
We strongly encourage you to visit the school if you intend to apply.
You will have the opportunity to visit the classrooms, meet
the principal and teachers, see the students in the learning environment,
and ask questions. Tours are approximately an hour in length and are
led by the school principal. Monthly tours are scheduled throughout
the year. Please contact our Admissions Director for more information
and to sign up.
Admissions Calendar
Applications are accepted throughout the year; however, the priority deadline is January 31st, for the 2008-2009 school year. Your child’s application must be completed by the scheduled deadline to be considered for the following school year. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered only as space allows. Class openings will be determined after all applications received by January 31st have been considered.

Application Components

• Application for Admission
• Registration Form
• Non-refundable $50 Application Fee
• Two Confidential References (K-1 reference form | 2-8 reference form)
• Copies of recent progress reports
• Results from any educational, psychological, medical, or behavioral testing
If your child is entering Kindergarten and has not yet attended a pre-school program, please have a Sabbath/Sunday School teacher, daycare provider, or personal friend (non-relative) complete the reference forms.
Waiting Pool Policy
We are committed to small classroom environments, and if space is
not available we will place applicants in a waiting pool. This waiting
pool does not function as a “first- come, first-served basis.”
Please be aware that applicants are not assigned a number or position
in the waiting pool. Rather, if a position opens, we evaluate all
applicants for the particular grade on the basis of varying factors.
We review each candidate considering the needs and abilities of the
child, the class dynamics, and our school’s mission and program. These details and decisions, including the size of our waiting
pool, are strictly confidential.
Family Interview
When your application is complete, we will contact you to schedule
a family interview with the school principal and the admissions director.
This interview enables us to determine your needs and goals for your
child’s education. It provides the opportunity for us to explain
our school’s mission, philosophy, and educational program so
you are able to make a well-informed decision. We ask that students
who are applying for 6th-8th grades attend the interview with their
parents.
